About Yearendo
Yearendo is a small piece of software for the partner or practice manager of a CPA or accounting firm. It has two halves. The worksheets are free and work the firm's own pricing on the page: the blended rate on an engagement from partner, manager and staff hours at standard rates, and the rate a staff hour has to bill at from salary, burden, overhead and billable hours. Yearendo Pro is the client book those fees are quoted into: every client with its fee, its payroll calendar, the filings it is owed and the person in the firm who owns each, kept with dates and exportable at any time.
Why this site exists
This site exists because a small firm keeps its clients in a spreadsheet, its payroll calendar in whoever runs the payroll, and its fees in the partner's memory, and the moment a client asks why the year end cost more or a filing falls due while its owner is on leave, three sources have to be reconciled by hand. The fee a firm quotes is short arithmetic over its own costs, and the client record behind it is the thing worth keeping properly.
Who it is for
The partner, practice manager or office manager of a CPA or accounting firm of two to twenty people that runs payroll and recurring work for a book of business clients and sets its own fees
Not a business trying to hire an accountant or a payroll provider, not a taxpayer, not a law firm, and not a practice buying document management or an entire practice suite
What it does not do
- No tax advice, no filing rule and no wage law: what a client owes and when is your professional judgement and your regulator's rule, never a line on this site
- No payroll run and no filing: the product keeps the calendar and the fee; the payroll platform and the tax software do the work
- No ranking of firms and no benchmark fee: this site publishes no firm's rates and no survey of what others charge
- No leads and no introductions: we sell no listing, no advertising and no enquiry to anybody else
What is on this site
2 free tools, each working its figure on the page with no account, and Yearendo Pro that keeps the record. All tools · Pricing.
What Yearendo Pro keeps
The worksheets cost nothing. Pro begins where the client says yes: the fee turns into a client record, the client gets a payroll calendar and a year end, and next January the firm can still read what it agreed, what it ran and what was filed.
Who answers for it
Joe Ellul-Turner, Director of Ellul Solutions Ltd; the person who reads support and every enquiry sent from this site.
